- Death Tip (Starved): "You were eaten by Starved. Starved can be difficult, especially if you have nobody with weapons. Try and keep other players behind you to at least buy yourself some time."
- Death Tip (Furnace): "You were killed by Furnace. When Furnace gets a kill, he gains a large speed boost, so stay away from other players."
- ----------------------------
- Starved is a duo of Starved himself and Furnace with both spawning at the thorn.
- Starved will slowly walk towards players while a loud groan is heard. Starved can be stunned; but only if they are currently hungry. Attempting to stun while they are not hungry will simply result in the stun going through, granting bonuses, but Starved being unaffected.
- Starved will follow players and overtime, progressively get faster as indicated by the screen flashing red. Starved will also speak which can give away his position. Starved will eventually reach a speed that can outspeed most items. When Starved reaches a player, he will bash them, dealing low damage and inflicting bleed while also slowing them down as well as himself. At max speed, Starved will bash players twice, typically putting them in eating range immediately.
- If the player Starved is targeting is below 50 HP and he attacks, he will instead grab and instantly kill them by eating them, resetting his hunger and speed back to normal. This is capable of bypassing protection. Stunning Starved while he’s hungry will also reset his speed, causing an animation to play and adding some extra time between his next hunger flash.
- Dying to Starved will result in a death screen. When the round time is less than 60 seconds, Starved will begin to starve faster than normal.
- Furnace will chase players at a high speed initially, but progressively slow down overtime. Furnace can be stunned for a good amount of time.
- Furnace will attack players within range, performing a short dash once close enough with a melee attack before stopping for a moment after, dealing exactly 50 damage. Due to Furnace burning nearby players, this also usually results in a burn. When Furnace is at no power, he is able to use a ranged fire blast that deals low damage and inflicts 60 seconds of burn.
- When Furnace gets a kill, he will eat the body, powering himself up allowing him to move faster again.
- ----------------------------
- Starved originates from a creepypasta featured in the FNF Sonic.exe mod.
- Starveds death screen is also a reference to the FNF Sonic.exe mod.
- Surviving Starved without anyone stunning him will give the achievement "What's For Dinner?".
- Furnace used to be an Alternate killer, but was replaced by a new Alternate killer introduced in the Joyous Update.
- Starved was reworked with the May 2026 patch.
