- When spawning, SM64.Z64 will cause the hud to be hidden and play a fanfare sound effect.
- Shortly after, a timer will appear which will slowly count down to 0. As the timer approaches 0, the screen will become red and music will play. Once it has reached 0, the red will go away, and SM64.Z64 will spawn shortly after.
- SM64.Z64 will move towards players at a high speed, passing through any object in its way while emitting very loud static sounds. When a player is near SM64.Z64, it will speed up significantly. Being near SM64.Z64 will cause players screens to distort, and contact with SM64.Z64 will instantly kill players.
- SM64.Z64 will occasionally teleport if there are no players nearby it, teleporting a very far distance away from its current target. This will also happen if SM64.Z64 is stunned.

- SM64.Z64 is one of the few alternate terrors that can appear in 8 Pages. Additionally, it will not spawn until the 5th page is collected and will also not play its normal fanfare.
