"Okay gamers, I'm going to kill you now."
Parhelion
- TYPE: GOD
- TIER: 10
- METHOD: PRAY
- ----------------------------
- ----------------------------
- [NO DATA]
- ----------------------------
- Parhelion created by Beyond. Heavily inspired by BLACKSUN from Midnight Horrors.
- Music (1st phase): James Dooley - Black Sun feat. Celldweller
- Music (2nd phase): East New Sound - Sleeping Terror (Instrumental)(sped up)
- Death Tip: "You were killed by Parhelion. Pray."
- ----------------------------
- Parhelion takes the form of a flaming orb in the sky. When Parhelion spawns in, it will shift the coloration of the world and set the timer to 200 seconds. Additionally, 4 Sunbearers will spawn in; functioning very similarly to how they do in Parhelion’s Victims. Parhelion can be seen through walls.
- Parhelion will float in the air stationary and has a number of attacks at its disposal. Parhelion will typically use only one of these attacks at a time:
- Targeted Hands
Parhelion will summon 7 hands that will target players. These hands will fly out from Parhelion and towards a random location near a player, then slam the ground. The amount of damage hands do depends on the range, either instantly killing, dealing heavy damage, or dealing very little damage. Hands will also bump the player upwards & slow players down if they impact near a player. Parhelion is capable of targeting the same player multiple times with these hands, and will always create 7.
- Protective Hands
Parhelion will summon 8 hands that will target the area around Parhelion. Functionally, these are the exact same as the hands mentioned above, except they will always target the area around Parhelion.
- Pillars
Parhelion will summon 3 magic rings under players, which will slowly form and light up before releasing a massive pillar of light up in the air. The light pillars deal very heavy damage with a chance to instantly kill players. The pillar will remain for around a second before it shrinks down and vanishes.
- Beam
Parhelion will summon a laser very similar to a Pillar from itself, which will aim at a random player. Functionally, these are exactly the same as the Pillar, remaining for a second before shrinking.
- Charge
Parhelion will laugh and float upwards and orient itself towards a player, with the face of Parhelion changing into a “:3”. Parhelion will then lock on and charge towards a player at a high speed, releasing a flurry of bullets as it travels. Parhelion will not stop charging until it has reached its target player or if the player dies. The bullets Parhelion releases deal low damage, while Parhelion itself deals heavy damage, with a chance to instantly kill the player. Once it impacts the ground, it will also bump all nearby players; and after a moment, Parhelion will float upwards again and remain in the position it landed. This is the only way Parhelion is able to move around.
- After 160 seconds have passed, Parhelion will pause the timer and announce the following
"Uhh, okay gamers. I'm going to kill you now"
and let out a huge roar, shaking the ground and enraging, covering itself with a red glow.
- When entering it's second phase, Parhelion will reset the timer to 120 as well and the music will change. Additionally, Parhelion will now be able to overlap attacks and will attempt to use an attack every second. A few attacks also have some minor changes in second form:
- Pillars
Now uses Pillars three times in a row when using them, creating a total of 9.
- Beam
Fires out 3 beams instead of 1. Additionally, these beams can be swept if paired with Charge.
Parhelion will release additional bullets and also use Charge much more often.
- ----------------------------
- Parhelion takes heavy inspiration from BLACK SUN from Midnight Horrors, including the hands, and the voice between phase transitions. Parhelion also shares the same phase 1 music with BLACK SUN.
- Parhelion is an OC by Beyond & Have, and is inspired by SCP-001 / When Day Breaks & Bad Sun from Voices of the Void.
- Parhelion's pillar attacks were inspired by Flesh Prison.
- Parhelion's face cycles between several images, with several references.
- Originally, Parhelion was intended to spawn alongside Parhelion’s Victims as a stage hazard, but was split into its own terror.
- Parhelion replaced Mona & The Mountain's alternate slot, who was moved into the normal pool.
- Parhelion is voiced by Beyond, and is the canonical voice of Parhelion.
- Parhelion is named after a type of halo called Parhelion. The name was given to it by Nami, and also hints at Parhelion’s true nature as Parhelion are also sometimes referred to as a "mock sun"
- Parhelion is sentient and is a very prideful being, seeking attention over anything else. It will always try to outperform other entities that try to one-up it, which is why it’s faces are that of entities it sees as lesser; it is mocking them.
- Parhelion is related to Parhelion's Victims, another terror.
- Additionally, Parhelion's Victims created Parhelion, attempting to condition it to do their bidding, but could not control it and were scorched by it and cursed to live forever as a result.
