- While nominally for reconnaissance, the Aureus model is heavily armed and can scale any terrain. It performed admirably, at least until it was assimilated into the Infection.

- When spawning, Astrum Aureus will rise out from the thorn. Astrum Aureus cannot be stunned.
- Like most terrors, Astrum Aureus will actively chase players at a moderate speed, prioritizing players within its line of sight. Astrum Aureus will speed up significantly when spotting a player, chasing them down until they lose line of sight. When Astrum Aureus reaches a player, they will stop and stomp the ground with their claws, instantly killing players under them and dealing heavy damage and knockback to players around them. Additionally at any point when Astrum Aureus is within range of a player they are chasing, they can fire a little barrage of bullets, dealing low damage rapidly.
- Astrum Aureus can also leap into the air to land at a target player, which will instantly kill the player if Astrum Aureus lands on them.

- Astrum Aureus’s laser blasts are not treated as an attack, but instead treated as a killer ability. This means that the blasts will always occur in the same order/pattern every time Astrum Aureus is spawned. However, the blasts are not shot if Astrum Aureus isn’t currently focused on a target.
