- The map that inspired this ToN map has a longer history as cp_orange is based off dod_orange from Day of Defeat. This style of mapping was popular for a few years in various GoldSrc/Source games.
- The orange (and often gray) were the colors developer placeholder textures had in the engine's map editor, Hammer.
