Eternal developing
Pyon pyon! It's been a hot minute since I've been able to post anything here.
There have always been two kinds of people in ToN community; Those who say "oh man, once the update goes out, you'll be so busy updating the site!" and those who assume that I have access to more information than your average ToN player. If you were the latter one, good job, you were correct! However, things were a bit different this time around as a whole group of closed testers were being tortured for months.
I have to admit, these past few months have been extremely stressful. Currently my future is very uncertain (perhaps even doomed if I'm being very pessimistic) and the plans I had for the summer had to get canceled. Sometimes I read messages on Discord servers about how the "wiki is so outdated and garbage" and it kills the mood a little bit, regardless how much progress you've done behind the scenes in your own local build. And we don't even talk about the league that I just simply couldn't hold anymore for various reasons.
Despite the troubling times, I've managed to keep pushing myself as hard as I can but also understand the absolute need to take those important and valuable breaks. I would like to personally thank all the fellow testers for all these months, providing some amazing memories as we kept breaking Beyond's game. Additionally I would love to give thanks to my wives who have been taking care of me when I needed it the most.
So what's the plan, pyon?!
Last time when I had a long write about stuff on this page, I stated my goal extremely clear; I wanted to redesign some of the pages on the site. In this update, I reached this goal by redesinging the specific terror pages. It was massive pain in the ass to upgrade all pages to the new version but in the end it was definitely worth it. That being said, the new design is still missing something and that's the image section under the tips. It turned out to be more time consuming and annoying process than I expected so those are not visible for majority of the pages for now. My goal regarding these is to bring them visible to all terror pages this month. Sorry for the delay!
As for the other types of redesigns, I am still interested of doing item and location page redesigns but I want to finish my other personal projects before I touch these. More about that in a second.
Currently some of the new content is locked - this is mostly just to protect you poor souls from accidentally spoiling yourself. Go play the game instead! That being said, if you know the name of whatever you are looking for, you just might find it via URL. ;) I will be updating indexes and whatnot week after update release - this is something all developers have agreed on.
Future of the Pyon
Since the very start of this year, I've been studying programming but due the site work, that has been going a lot slower and I might have forgotten some of the stuff already. Once I'm free from site development torture, I would like to go back to creating some VRChat worlds as I have few projects waiting for my attention. If you're interested seeing my progress on those and seeing some behind the scenes content, please consider becoming a supporter. I want to actually produce some good worlds for people to enjoy, I just need some time to cook.
