It's funny to think that I'm here today. You see, I never considered myself a web developer. Sure, I've done a lot of crappy websites for years now but those sites were for a quick laugh, perhaps something I would work for two days and then forget forever. As you can see, terror.moe is a complete opposite of it.

Many of you already know this, but I absolutely despise professional, corporate looking web designs. I am coming from the golden age of Internet where sites looked more original and wacky and I really do miss those times. When I originally started working on terror.moe, I didn't expect anyone to like this website design. It looks pretty old and goes against so many present day standards that it might as well be considered a crime.

But oh boy, I was wrong. For some reason the website EXPLODED. I've never seen so much interest in my projects before, not even my big tournaments that I've hosted over the years. Apparently people love this design and it shocked me. Users started providing content to the site and terror.moe became something I heard several times in ToN instances. I've been cursed in VRChat as most people see me as just a plaything - but in ToN circles, I am the cool bun behind terror.moe.

Just to add here, I was very recently donated enough money by ToN community for me to upgrade some of my extremely outdated hardware so I can enjoy playing ToN in VR again. Honestly, I still think I am dreaming.

As much as I want to continue writing a massive story here, it would be better if I get straight to the point. It is likely that you already know that Terrors of Nowhere has been gotten an update (or has been released entirely) - I've been working quite a bit to update the site. Most biggest update you will most likely see are the new listing overhauls. The old one was really rushed and didn't look that great in my opinions so I upgraded all of them.

However, I want to make sure that people will not get spoilered by the new content straight away but instead see them in-game. That's why you see them hidden at the moment. The idea is to reveal them in lil' batches and here's some extra infomation in more detail;

ITEMS
Item pages have already been updated and contains extra information about several items. Thank you everyone who participated in replacing some of the pose pictures!

LOCATIONS
Locations will be the first ones to be revealed, most likely by the end of the weekend. Pages of these are already done. (Fun fact: I suggested one of the new maps, you're welcome.)

TERRORS
New ToN update has several new spooky terrors which all will be showcased on this site next week (27th-29th October or something like that). Haven't finished all of the pages yet but almost there.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Achievements are the most complicated issue as I can't just decide a proper time window. After considering it for quite some time, I decided to make this a small game. I will not be revealing the full list instantly but rather unlock them one by one depending how many people will unlock them in-game. When 5 players will show me the achievement from the achievement index, it will be considered unlocked for the site. They will not be added on site in real time but rather in batches. My suffering will never end as I will continue to work on the site till I consider it 100% complete. I want to do some styling adjustment to various pages, most notably pages for locations and Terrors. It has already been suggested that I should include some Terror sound effects on the site. I would love to provide some top down maps of all locations at some point. At some point I will give alternative items their own nice spot to not make item pages a huge mess. There are other places that I want to redesign.

It is worth noting that the current Terror information can be out of date. While I have updated some of them, I removed all eph rewards for now (and will update them ASAP once I have more data available) and will try to investigate the speed requirements again with the science team.
